Paddle at Patuxet and Native Clambake
Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM (EDT)
JOIN US FOR A UNIQUE SUMMER EXPERIENCE!
Join Plimoth Plantation’s staff for an exciting on-the-water adventure. Bring your rowboat, canoe, or kayak and travel on Plymouth Bay, accompanied by Native mishoons (dugout canoes) and Mayflower II’s ship’s boat.
Paddlers can choose to depart at noon with the mishoons from the banks of the Eel River at Plimoth Plantation’s Wampanoag Homesite or from Stephens Field with the ship’s boat in Plymouth Harbor. The groups will rendezvous on the water and make their way to Plymouth beach for an informal talk on the area’s 17th-century maritime past and a snack.
After your paddle back to Stephens Field, enjoy a delicious, traditional Wampanoag Clambake and social event at 5:30 p.m. on Plimoth Plantation’s Accomack Deck.

Who We Are
Plimoth Plantation is a not-for-profit museum supported by admissions, contributions, grants and generous volunteers.
What We Do
Plimoth Plantation, a bicultural museum, offers powerful personal encounters with history built on thorough research about the Wampanoag People and the Colonial English community in the 1600s. Our exhibits, programs, live interpreters, and historic settings encourage a new level of understanding about present-day issues affecting communities around the world.
The visitor experience is at the heart of our work. The setting, the staff and a compelling approach to history combine to provide a memorable visitor experience. We are successful when a satisfied visitor recommends us to family and friends.
